Sunday Funday: Whiskey Slush

When asked what I would serve on my 19th hole, without any hesitation I said my mom’s famous whiskey slush. There is nothing better on a warm summer day to cool you down, than a refreshing slushie – and this one’s perfect for your next Sunday Funday!

Whether you are making it for a house party, or just to have on hand in your freezer. All you need is your favorite whiskey, a few ingredients and an ice cream scooper!

Ingredients:

  • 2 tea bags
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup sugar (can reduce to ½ if you like)
  • 3 ½ cup water
  • 1 6oz frozen orange juice
  • 1 6oz frozen lemonade
  • 2 cups whiskey (adjust to how strong you’d like it)

Directions:

Make tea with 1 cup boiling water, 2 tea bags in pot on stove. Once brewed, pour in 1 cup of sugar and stir until dissolved. Let cool.

Combine with water, orange juice, frozen lemonade and whiskey in large container. Put in freezer overnight.

Scoop out a full cup of whiskey slush, pour your favorite white soda or ginger ale over top and enjoy!

See you on the 19th hole!
