BABIES!! o and the governor
I got to spend the day around BABIES and talking about BABIES! I have to admit babies do freak me out a little bit because they are so delicate, just tiny little humans who can’t tell you what they’re thinking (unless they cry or poo or something.) But no matter what you think about babies, you can’t help but to just feel happy when you are in a baby environment. I was just in such a good mood being around babies!

Two hours in the pouring rain… so worth it. The trusty weather people said it was going to rain that day. So I was driving around Columbia following the dark and gloomy clouds that looked like they were about to burst with beautiful giant rain drops.

Behold! The Power of Twitter… dum, dum, dum. Without all the internet and social media outlets the conference shake-up would not get the hype and the interest that it has. I witnessed first hand, and fueled the internet hype. By tweeting every time we could, updating our web story non-stop and putting up new information on Facebook we generated more viewers and followers than any other time during our news history. We got 1200 new followers just within hours of the first MU Board of Curators meeting on Thursday.

Double the work. Eh, it sounded like it would be a breeze. There were two things going on at the city hall back-to-back. Thought I would get two easy stories out of it. Well it was a little more work than I anticipated. One was the State of the City address. I got the chance to talk about sports (which was a huge shock considering it was Memorial Day and I thought I would have to talk about some Memorial Day activities going on.) My assignment editor/producer suggested that I explain things for the public because its not that people are not interested in what was going on with the team, they just didn’t know about it. I completely agree.
